[Not a valid template]Painting is hard. I “push” paint around mixing new colors, making new color relationships, having colors say “how do you do” to each other. The defined edge is my enemy. The painting is never finished, its always becoming. I could work one painting for a lifetime. Each stroke points me in a new direction. One could find ten or twenty painting directions under the surface of one piece. The process is so exciting, it engulfs me in the doing. It is a never ending search for I know not what because the goal is ever-changing.
