Life expectancy in the United States is steadily rising for healthy adults aged sixty to eighty and beyond. In the last one hundred years, on average, both men and women have gained twenty to thirty years of adult life as they remain active, productive, and engaged in family and community. This is a new, golden age of adulthood for people who are aging well.
